These days artists and bands tend to book their tours months in advance. In order to give you the best notice of up and coming shows we list events once they have been confirmed by the band or their management
The downside of this is that dates can change due to unforeseen circumstances, sometimes at very short notice.
We do our best to ensure that this site is kept as up to date as is possible, with updates happening at least once a week.
Therefore to avoid disappointment we recommend that you check these listing prior to setting out for your show especially if you are traveling any distance.
The quickest way to get yourself included in our listings is to send an email to paul at mohawkvisuals.com once your gig is confirmed.
We also need you to do the following -
Put the name of the artist or band name along with the date of your show in the email subject line.
Attach a reasonable sized photograph. A 72dpi, jpeg, bigger than 200x200 pixels would be fine. Please don't email files over 1mb in size. If in doubt please drop us a line before sending. Let us have your web address so we can link to your site or Myspace page.
Send us some text. Whilst we are happy to tidy up spelling or grammar, we don't have the time to write or edit copy for you. Ideally we need a nice concise 'blurb' of between 75-100 words. Please don't send a three page biography, or else we are likely to bounce it back to you. If you have a selection of press quotes send what you have as we can usually easily compile something from them. There are plenty of examples of the sort of thing we need here on the site to help you out.
Please note - If you have played at The Musician before and we have text on file, we will continue to use use it for any subsequent listings unless you supply new copy.

Described by The Guardian as “the finest instrumental duo on the traditional scene” and twice winners of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Duo, John Spiers and Jon Boden have made the genre of spontaneous, punky English folk very much their own stomping ground. Loud, proud, and with just a few acoustic instruments, they create a multitude of textures upon which they present traditional stories and dance music which are as much at home on the main stage of Cambridge Folk Festival as they are in a lock-in at the local pub.

Egypt are a UK blues rock trio formed in 1987 by three former members of legendary progressive blues outfit The Groundhogs; Eric Chipulina (guitar/vocals), Alan Fish (bass/vocals) and Peter Correa (drums). Alan’s credentials also include playing with members of Welsh heavy rock pioneers Budgie in the band Tredegar, two albums for ex-Bo Diddley harp player Billy Boy Arnold and a European tour for Chuck Berry.

The Dan Collective presents the words and music of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen (Steely Dan). Featuring the hub of the rhythm section of Birmingham’s The Danny Steel Orchestra – purveyors of all thing Steely since 1996 - : Chris Watts on Fender Rhodes and Vocals and Neil Thompson on Electric Bass. Chris and Neil are joined by ace jazz/rock drummer Ian Beestin and saxophonist and jazz luminary Ian Hill. On electric guitar is Leicester based jazz guitarist Andy Hagiioannu.

Roche is the daughter of Suzzy Roche and Loudon Wainwright. Her maternal aunts are Maggie and Terre Roche, with whom Suzzy Roche formed the group The Roches. Her paternal half-siblings are the singer-songwriters, Martha Wainwright and Rufus Wainwright. Lucy was a teacher in NYC for several years but went into music full-time in 2007, touring with her father Loudon Wainwright III, her half-brother Rufus Wainwright and many other musical acts. Also in 2007, Roche released an EP titled 8 Songs. In 2008 she released a follow-up EP called 8 More which featured a duet with actress Martha Plimpton.

Singer, pianist and guitarist Mike Sanchez is one of the most exciting and charismatic performers of Rhythm ‘n’ Blues and Rock 'n' Roll in the world today. His indelible image as a frenetic front man, pumping powerful boogie-woogie from the piano in a soaking suit, has won him fans from all over the world. Mike spent four years as a full-time member of Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings and in December 2007 was invited to appear as a guest vocalist with the Rhythm Kings at Led Zeppelin’s final reunion show at the London O2 Arena.
